CHISA: Courageous, tenacious, grateful, kind hearted and compassionate.
BBBY: Who is one of the most inspirational women in your life? And why?
CHISA: My Grandmother Margie Watts. She taught me my work ethic, was committed to excellence, a trail blazer and loved me unconditionally. She never gave up on me.
BBBY: What was the inspiration for starting your own business?
CHISA: Can you believe it a break-up! I was already in a season of loss: Job, home, finances, hope, personal freedom and identity . Having love walk away when I thought I was giving my best caused me to refine who I thought I was. The importance of connecting with other women and learning to not walk any journey alone was life changing.
BBBY: What is the mission behind your business?
CHISA: Creating space and community for women to connect and see each other. Move past assumptions, fears and judgements.
BBBY: What challenges did you face when starting your own business?
CHISA: MY own confidence. I believed in the mission because it had meaning for me. But my insecurity, fear and past failure said I couldn't do it, I wasn't enough.
BBBY: Do you have a life mission or inspirational quote that you live by?
CHISA: Beauty in...Beauty out!
BBBY: What inspires you to do what you do?
CHISA: Women who say they see themselves in my stories. Hearing women say I see you and I see you in me. We often think we are alone and we are actually so powerfully connected.
BBBY: Tell us about a time in your life, where you felt most powerful as a woman.
CHISA: I feel most powerful when I'm letting down my guard, becoming vulnerable, learning to love me as I am.
BBBY: What has made you most proud and why?
CHISA: when I gave myself permission for a restart. Allowing myself to be transparent with people who support, love and encourage me.
BBBY: What's the most important lesson you've learned as an entrepreneur?
CHISA: I'm equipped to do all things. And what I need is already in me.
